Prime Video has announced May 15 as the global premiere date for its upcoming Tamil Original suspense drama Exam. The seven-episode series, created by Pushkar–Gayatri under Wallwatcher Films and written and directed by A. Sarkunam, promises an intense narrative set against the high-pressure world of competitive examinations.
The series stars Dushara Vijayan and Aditi Balan in the lead roles, with Abbas playing a key supporting character. Exam will stream exclusively on Prime Video across India and in over 240 countries and territories worldwide. While the original version will be in Tamil, it will also be available dubbed in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, along with subtitles in 15 languages, including English.
Announcing the release, Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals at Prime Video India, described Exam as a timely and emotionally compelling story that captures the intense pressures surrounding competitive exams. He highlighted the platform’s continued collaboration with Pushkar–Gayatri following the success of acclaimed series like Suzhal: The Vortex and Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie, expressing confidence that the new series will resonate strongly with audiences worldwide.
Sharing their vision, Pushkar and Gayatri said Exam explores themes of ambition, injustice, and the moral dilemmas individuals face under extreme pressure. They noted that the story centers on a young woman navigating a system stacked against her, focusing not on glorifying rebellion but on the emotional and ethical costs of standing up for what is right.
