Actor Silambarasan TR has raised expectations around his upcoming collaboration with director Vetrimaaran, saying Arasan is a large-scale film that will make Tamil cinema proud. He also confirmed that the film will not release during Pongal 2027 as earlier expected.
Simbu said the film is far from a small project and follows his character’s journey from youth to old age, requiring multiple looks and get-ups. He compared its potential impact to Dhurandhar, which recently made a mark for Hindi cinema.
The actor said the team has chosen not to rush production and compromise on quality. Instead, an exclusive glimpse titled The World of Arasan will be screened in theatres during Diwali. Directed by Vetrimaaran and produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu, Arasan features Priyanka Mohan, Vijay Sethupathi, Ameer, Samuthirakani, Kishore and Andrea, with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
