Indian cricketer Sanju Samson has taken his admiration for Superstar Rajinikanth to another level by booking an entire cinema hall in Bengaluru for a private screening of Jailer 2, bringing together his family, friends and teammates for a special movie outing.
Samson said he could not watch the film on its release day because he had to attend an event in Delhi. He subsequently arranged the private screening so that he could enjoy the film with people close to him. Members of the Indian cricket team and support staff who understand Tamil also attended the show. Expressing his admiration for Rajinikanth, Samson said he loved watching the actor’s films and always looked forward to his next release. His gesture has attracted attention among fans, bringing together two popular worlds — Indian cricket and Tamil cinema.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 follows retired jailer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, played by Rajinikanth, whose peaceful life is disrupted by a new threat from the criminal underworld. The sequel features returning actors Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan and Mirnaa, alongside several new additions, including SJ Suryah, Vijay Sethupathi and Vidya Balan. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music, while Sun Pictures has produced the film. Chess grandmaster D Gukesh, along with siblings R Praggnanandhaa and R Vaishali, also recently watched the film together, sharing their enthusiasm for Rajinikanth on social media.
