Actor Vetri, best known for his performances in 8 Thottakkal and other content-driven films, is set to headline a new investigative thriller titled Enquiry. The project was announced by the actor on social media on Tuesday, October 20.
The announcement featured a title poster with a spot of blood, suggesting a crime investigation at the centre of the narrative. Vetri described the project as the beginning of a gripping new chapter, raising expectations for another thriller-driven performance. Director Murugan Rajendran, who helmed the 2020 film Cocktail starring Yogi Babu, will write and direct the upcoming film. The makers have not yet disclosed the plot or the identities of the other cast members.
Enquiry is the second production venture of On The Table Productions and is produced by AM Raja Malaisamy. The technical team includes cinematographer KK, music composer Vibin Baskar, editor Biju V Don Bosco and art directors Suresh Kallery and Sagg Sriji. Vetri was last seen in Lakshmikanthan Kolai Vazhakku and has several projects in the pipeline, including Black Gold, Buried and Iravu. The new film adds another investigative thriller to his growing filmography, although its shooting schedule and release date are yet to be announced.
