Chennai: Strict action would be taken against those who try to create communal hatred among people, said Chief Minister MK Stalin today.
Speaking at the State Assembly today after the demands for grants for police department, Stalin said, ‘There is no place communal clash in Tamilnadu. Stirct action will be taken against who commit such crimes’.
Soon exams will be conducted and 3000 cops will be recruited, he said.
He made 78 new announcements for the department.
The Chief Minister said, ‘Adequate funds will be allocated to maintain CCTV cameras across the State. Women would be given adequate reservation in appointments in police department.’
He announced that a police museum will come up at a cost of Rs 6.47 cr. Also a police quarters will come up in Pollachi.
Stating that 288 murders have been prevented so far, Stalin, said, ‘Police will act tough against paid killers’.
Freedom of speech and freedom of expression will be respected but action will be taken up against those who cross the borders, he said and added, ‘our fight against drug menace will continue. It’s time that we protect students and youngsters from this danger. We will wipe out ganja from the State’.
