Chennai: In a concerning incident at the old bus stand in Villupuram district, students from a private college and a government school engaged in a violent clash allegedly fueled by the influence of marijuana. The disturbing episode, captured on video, has since gone viral on social media platforms, shedding light on the escalating issue.
The video footage depicts a chaotic scene where members of the two groups are seen physically assaulting each other in the middle of a public road. At the onset, the conflict involves two college boys and a group of school students exchanging blows in full view of the public. As the altercation intensifies, a student’s shirt is torn, indicating the severity of the clash.
Moments later, the situation takes a more violent turn when a group of school students, accompanied by a youth, launches an attack on one of the college students. Despite the intervention of a women police constable attempting to halt the confrontation, the assailant persists in his assault, resulting in the college student losing consciousness.
Prompt emergency response was initiated, with an ambulance summoned to the scene. The injured student was swiftly transported to the Villupuram government hospital for medical attention. The severity of the injuries sustained during the clash remains undisclosed.
