The much-anticipated 25th film of Sivakarthikeyan has been officially titled Parasakthi, as revealed in a teaser released on Wednesday. Directed by Sudha Kongara and co-written by Sudha along with Arjun Nadesan, the film promises to be an intense drama with a gripping narrative.
Parasakthi features Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, alongside Sreeleela, who makes her Tamil debut, as well as Ravi Mohan and Atharvaa in pivotal roles. The screenplay is further enriched with contributions from Ganeshaa, while Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy have penned additional dialogues.
The teaser suggests that the film revolves around student politics in old Madras, with a significant period portion involving Sreeleela and Atharvaa. Ravi Mohan appears to play a character with an unresolved vendetta against Sivakarthikeyan’s role, as one scene dramatically depicts him using a picture of Sivakarthikeyan’s character for target practice.
The film began production in December last year under the working title SK25. Backed by Aakash Baskaran under the banner of Dawn Pictures, Parasakthi boasts a stellar technical crew, including music composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, editor Sathish Suriya, and action choreographer Supreme Sundar.
While the teaser has generated significant excitement, the makers have yet to announce the official release date.
