Islamabad, Apr 30:
Pakistan has accused India of planning imminent military action against it within the next 24 to 36 hours, citing what it called “credible intelligence.” The statement, made by Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, warned New Delhi of “consequences” should any such action be undertaken.
Tarar alleged that India is preparing for an assault based on “baseless and concocted allegations” linking Pakistan to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives. He criticized India for assuming the role of “judge, jury and executioner” without evidence.
Reiterating Pakistan’s official stance, the minister emphasized that Islamabad has always been a victim of terrorism and strongly rejected the accusations. “Being a responsible state, Pakistan openheartedly offered a credible, transparent and independent investigation by a neutral commission of experts to ascertain the truth,” he said.
The comments mark a sharp escalation in tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours, as diplomatic channels remain on edge following the Pahalgam incident.
