Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is set to launch the expansion of the flagship Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme to government-aided primary schools. The inauguration is scheduled for August 26, at a school in Mylapore, Chennai.The expansion is a significant step in the continuous growth of the program, which was initially launched on September 15, 2022. The scheme aims to improve student nutrition, increase enrollment and attendance, and alleviate the financial burden on working parents.
This expansion to aided schools comes after the scheme was successfully implemented in all government primary schools. The initiative will provide a nutritious breakfast to students of classes 1 to 5 on all school working days.
