EPS says DMK rule is in “coma”, promises change in 2026

Karur, Sept 27: AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) strongly criticized the DMK government. He said Tamil Nadu has been in a “six-month coma” under Chief Minister M. K. Stalin’s rule.
Speaking at a rally in Karur, EPS attacked Stalin for trusting former minister V. Senthilbalaji. He said Senthilbalaji often changed parties and was behind illegal sand mining worth crores every day. EPS promised strict action against him if AIADMK returns to power in 2026.
EPS also accused the DMK of closing 207 schools and failing to improve education. He said school admissions had dropped, unlike during the AIADMK period when many rural schools were upgraded.
He added that the AIADMK is ready for alliances and will fight strongly to “redeem the state” in the 2026 elections.
