Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Madurai on March 1, when he will participate in a public event and is expected to offer prayers at the historic Thirupparamkundram Murugan Temple. The temple, one of the sacred abodes of Lord Murugan built into a hillock, holds strong cultural and religious significance in Tamil Nadu.
The visit, originally planned for an earlier date, was rescheduled to March 1 to coincide with both a campaign event and the temple darshan. Local party leaders have said Modi may visit the hill temple to offer prayers during his time in the city, reflecting widespread public interest ahead of the Assembly polls.
Alongside the temple visit, Modi will also engage with supporters and address a major rally as part of ongoing election campaigning in the state. The event is expected to draw significant public attention and participation.
