Washington, Sept 26:
US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are set to meet again in China in November, following Xi’s state visit to Washington this week.
Trump said on Friday that he would meet Xi in China in November and again in December at the G20 summit in Florida. He described Xi’s visit to Washington as successful and said that significant progress had been made during the talks.
The two leaders held discussions covering a range of issues, including trade, technology and international affairs. They also attended a formal state dinner at the White House.
The latest meeting took place amid continuing differences between Washington and Beijing over trade, artificial intelligence, Taiwan and other strategic issues. Details of agreements reached during the visit are expected to emerge as both sides continue their discussions.
