New Delhi, Oct 3:
Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian pilot who was injured during an incident involving a Flydubai flight, has been airlifted to Abu Dhabi for further medical treatment.
The Ministry of External Affairs said it is closely following his health condition. Machchhar initially received treatment at a hospital in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, before being moved to Abu Dhabi.
According to the MEA, the Indian government continues to coordinate on his medical care and is monitoring developments closely.
Machchhar has received messages of support from India and abroad following the incident. The Indian government has also expressed appreciation for the support extended to the pilot. IANS reported that Israeli officials had praised his actions, while the MEA said it appreciated the international recognition of his conduct.
