Prague, Oct 3:
Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš’s government survived a parliamentary no-confidence motion after opposition lawmakers failed to secure the numbers required to bring down the coalition.
In the 200-member Chamber of Deputies, 83 opposition lawmakers voted in favour of the motion, falling short of the 101 votes required for it to pass.
The vote comes amid political differences over the government’s policies and follows continuing debate in the Czech Republic over the direction of the administration.
