In an effort to combat the spread of infectious diseases such as malaria and dengue, the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has taken a proactive stance by organizing a special medical camp for the diagnosis and treatment of dengue fever. The camp was held at the Chennai Metro City Koyambedu wholesale vegetable, flower, and fruit supermarket.

The Greater Chennai Corporation has long been committed to safeguarding the health of its residents, and their latest initiative aims to address a growing concern in the area. The issue at hand is the large number of uncared-for and unattended vehicles parked along the roads and pavements in Chennai Metro City. This seemingly benign problem has proven to have severe consequences, as rainwater accumulates on these vehicles, creating a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

To tackle this issue head-on, the GCC launched an extensive effort to remove these unattended vehicles from the roads and streets. By doing so, they have not only beautified the city but also significantly reduced the potential breeding grounds for disease-carrying mosquitoes.

As a follow-up to this commendable initiative, a special medical camp dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of dengue fever was organized at the Chennai Koyambedu wholesale flower market. The camp aimed to provide immediate medical attention and support to those affected by dengue.
