Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin arrived in Chicago on Tuesday as part of his international outreach to attract investments to the state. During his visit, Stalin is scheduled to meet with key investors to discuss potential opportunities for collaboration and investment in Tamil Nadu.In addition to the investor meetings, the Chief Minister will engage with the Tamil diaspora in Chicago, strengthening ties with the global Tamil community. A significant cultural event is planned for September 7, where Stalin is expected to participate and interact with members of the diaspora, showcasing Tamil Naduâs cultural heritage.
Stalin’s visit to Chicago comes after a successful stop in San Francisco, where he arrived on August 29. During his time there, he met with investors and secured Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth âč1,300 crore. These agreements are expected to create employment opportunities for approximately 4,600 people in Tamil Nadu, further boosting the stateâs economy.
The Chief Minister will be in Chicago for 10 days, concluding his visit on September 12, when he will return to Chennai. This visit is part of a broader effort by the Tamil Nadu government to enhance the state’s global economic presence and attract substantial investments to fuel growth and development.
