
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was the victim of a shocking attack at his Mumbai residence in the early hours of Thursday, when an unidentified assailant attempted to burglarize his home. The intruder, who entered Saif’s Bandra home around 3:30 a.m., engaged in a confrontation with the actor, resulting in Saif being stabbed at least six times.
According to police reports, the attack left Saif with two deep cuts, one of which was dangerously close to his spinal cord. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he is currently undergoing surgery. Saif’s wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, and their two children, Taimur and Jeh, were present at the time of the incident, though they were unharmed.
Dr. Uttamani from Lilavati Hospital confirmed that the actor was treated by a team of doctors, including neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi. The doctors stated that while Saif’s condition is serious, he is out of danger.
A police investigation is underway to apprehend the attacker. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dixit Gedam, addressed the media, confirming that a probe is in progress, and efforts are being made to track down the perpetrator.
A statement released by Saif Ali Khan’s team requested the media and his fans to respect the privacy of the family during this difficult time, emphasizing that the matter is under police investigation. “We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter, and we will keep you updated,” the statement read.
