The makers of Tharunam, starring Kishen Das and Smruthi Venkat in lead roles, have announced January 31 as the new release date for the film. This comes after the movie, initially released on January 14 (Pongal Day), was pulled from theatres the following day due to “delays in certification and limited screen availability.”Tharunam is written and directed by Arvindh Srinivasan, known for his 2022 directorial debut Dejavu featuring Arulnithi. This marks his second outing as a director. The film is produced by Pugazh and Eden under the banner of Zhen Studios.
The film also features Bala Saravanan in a pivotal role and boasts a strong technical team. The music is composed by Darbuka Siva, cinematography is handled by Raja Bhattacharjee, and editing is done by Arul Elango Siddharth. Stunt sequences are choreographed by Don Ashok and C Prabhu.
The makers are optimistic about the new release date and aim to deliver a memorable cinematic experience for audiences.
