Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin emphasized that genuine patriotism is about caring for the people rather than just the land.Speaking at the Bharat Scouts and Guides Jamboree in Trichy, CM Stalin announced that the Tamil Nadu government would allocate ₹10 crore for the construction of a new headquarters for the Scouts and Guides movement in the state. He highlighted the values of equality and brotherhood, stating that the state has always upheld these principles.
Referring to the success of the Illam Thedi Kalvi (Education at Doorstep) initiative, he pointed out that the program has significantly improved the pass percentage of students in Class 10 and 12. He further noted that Tamil Nadu has secured the top position in India across 17 key indicators, as per the recent NITI Aayog report.
CM Stalin remarked that true nationalism should transcend territorial boundaries and be rooted in humanistic values. “We must develop a broad-minded perspective that acknowledges our shared humanity,” he said.
He also recalled India’s struggle for independence, attributing it to the unity and collective efforts of people across the nation. “From Kanyakumari to Kashmir, we fought as one for our freedom. This sense of unity must never be forgotten,” he asserted.
His speech underlined the Tamil Nadu government’s commitment to education, social welfare, and fostering a sense of collective national identity based on inclusivity and equality.
