Gearing up for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) will launch a state-wide campaign titled ‘Makkalai Kappom; Tamil Nattai Meetpom’ starting July 7.
The first phase of the campaign will begin at Mettupalayam in Coimbatore district and end at Peravurani in Thanjavur district on July 21. In this stretch, EPS will cover eight districts—Coimbatore, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, and Thanjavur—addressing public meetings in more than 30 locations.
According to party sources, the campaign aims to highlight the failures of the DMK government, focusing on issues like deteriorating law and order, price rise, and alleged administrative mismanagement. EPS is expected to make a strong case for the AIADMK-led alliance as a viable alternative in the 2026 elections.
AIADMK district secretaries, MLAs, MPs, and senior office-bearers in the campaign route have been instructed to ensure mass participation.
