Tamil Nadu’s Higher Education Minister Govi Chezhian on Thursday announced an extension in the registration deadline for Post Graduate (PG) admissions in arts and science colleges across the state.Earlier, the last date for submitting online applications was set as July 31. However, taking into account the interests and welfare of students, the government has decided to extend the registration window from August 1, the minister said.
Students who missed the earlier deadline can now submit their applications by visiting the official portal: www.tngasa.in. Minister Govi Chezhian urged eligible students to make use of this additional opportunity to secure admission into PG courses.
Meanwhile, counselling for general category students who registered on or before July 31 will be conducted on August 13, as per the existing schedule.
The extension aims to ensure that more students, especially those from rural and economically weaker backgrounds, do not miss out on higher education opportunities due to deadline constraints.
