Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin congratulated C. P. Radhakrishnan on being elected as the 15th Vice-President of India.Tamil Nadu Governor R. N. Ravi said Radhakrishnanâs election will help in promoting Tamil language and culture.
In his message, Stalin said Radhakrishnan will uphold the Constitution and democratic values. He also appreciated opposition candidate B. Sudershan Reddy for his spirited campaign.
AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami praised Radhakrishnanâs long public service and thanked the BJP for nominating a leader from Tamil Nadu.
Congress MP Karti Chidambaram also congratulated him and highlighted his roots in Tiruppur.
Leaders across party lines said Radhakrishnanâs victory was an honour for Tamil Nadu.
