Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was discharged after undergoing a pacemaker implantation procedur at M.S. Ramaiah Memorial Hospital in Bengaluru.
The 84-year-old Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha was brought to the hospital for a general health check-up following uneasiness, examined him, found he had a low heart rate and advised for implanting a pacemaker. He was admitted to the hospital.
āWe found all his other parameters to be normal except for a low heart rate. We advised the pacemaker implantation, and it was planned for October 1. He was moved to the room from the ICU and discharged in the night,ā according to authorities in the hospital.
