The Southern Railway has issued tenders for the operation of a multi-level parking facility at Chennai Egmore Railway Station, aimed at improving organized parking and passenger amenities.
The proposed parking facility, located on the Gandhi-Irwin Road side of the station, will feature multiple floors capable of accommodating a large number of vehicles. The selected operator will be responsible for managing vehicle entry and exit systems, parking operations, and overall maintenance.
This initiative is part of the railway’s efforts to reduce congestion around the station and provide better parking management for daily commuters and visitors. The project is expected to enhance the convenience and overall experience for passengers at one of Chennai’s busiest railway hubs.
