Chennai, Mar 21:
The Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has issued a formal and strongly worded denial regarding circulating rumors that actor-turned-politician Vijay utilized his large political rally crowds as “stock footage” for his upcoming film, Jana Nayagan. The party leadership clarified that the massive turnouts witnessed at their recent events are composed of genuine political supporters and citizens, rather than paid extras or crowds organized for cinematic purposes.
This controversy surfaced after social media clips suggested a crossover between the production schedule of the film and the timing of the party’s large-scale public gatherings. The TVK spokesperson emphasized that such claims are an attempt to undermine the organic growth of the party and the genuine enthusiasm of the people who have been attending these rallies to hear the leader’s vision for the state.
The statement further noted that while Vijay remains a major figure in the film industry, his political activities are kept strictly separate from his professional acting commitments. By addressing these rumors directly, the party aims to preserve the integrity of its political movement and ensure that the focus remains on its policy platform rather than entertainment industry gossip.
