Chennai, Apr 2:

Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has alleged that the sole objective of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is to hinder the development of Tamil Nadu, intensifying political rhetoric ahead of the Assembly elections.

Speaking during an election campaign, Stalin criticised the BJP-led alliance, claiming that its actions and policies are aimed at obstructing the state’s progress rather than supporting growth and welfare initiatives. He positioned the election as a battle between Tamil Nadu’s interests and the NDA, urging voters to back his party for continued development.

The Chief Minister has repeatedly accused the alliance of working against the state, framing the upcoming polls as crucial for protecting Tamil Nadu’s autonomy, development trajectory, and social justice model.

His remarks come amid an increasingly heated campaign season, with both the ruling DMK and opposition parties stepping up attacks and counterattacks as the state heads toward the 2026 Assembly elections.
