Chennai, July 9:

Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Wednesday inspected the Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children at Egmore in Chennai, reviewing medical services and facilities provided to mothers and children.

During the visit, the Chief Minister toured various departments of the hospital and assessed the quality of healthcare services. He interacted with doctors and hospital officials to understand the functioning of the institution, including maternity care facilities, availability of medical equipment and overall patient care.

Officials briefed him on treatment procedures and the measures taken to ensure efficient delivery of healthcare services. The Chief Minister also enquired about the hospital’s infrastructure and ongoing efforts to enhance medical support for children and women.

The inspection is part of the state government’s efforts to monitor public healthcare institutions and ensure that quality medical services are accessible to all sections of society.
