I too have a dream of becoming CM, says Thiruma

Participating in a private event in Ayakudi, Dindigul district, Thirumavalavan, leader of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), shared his aspirations, stating, “I too have a dream of becoming the Chief Minister.”
During the event, he expressed:
“I have long wished to visit Palani Murugan Temple. As the land where our ancestors lived, I wanted to see it. While some may create rumors that I came here to fulfill a vow, the truth is, this visit is not for that purpose.
For centuries, oppressed communities have lived as subordinates to dominant forces. It is our mission to empower them to reach the pinnacles of authority and governance. This requires transforming and equipping them for leadership.
Yes, I too have the ambition of becoming Chief Minister. Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in this journey. We will work steadily towards turning this dream into reality.”
Thirumavalavan also addressed the growing prominence of VCK, saying:
“While some aspire for power without forming a party, we have been progressing inch by inch, steadily growing into an indispensable political force in Tamil Nadu. Our flag now flies across Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala. The trust people have in us is increasing, and we must uphold that trust by strengthening the party’s framework.”
Earlier, Thirumavalavan, along with party officials, ascended the Palani Hill temple via the ropeway and offered prayers to Lord Murugan. He was welcomed inside the temple by temple authorities and Hindu Religious Endowment officials, who presented him with prasadam.
Following the temple visit, he went to the Pulipani Ashram at the foothills of Palani. There, he paid his respects to the deities, including Thottichi Amman and Pulipani’s Jeeva Samadhi. The Palani Bogan Adheenam’s Sivananda Pulipani Swamigal honored him with a crystal garland and presented a portrait of Bogan.
Before leaving the ashram, traders along the temple’s walkway shared their grievances with Thirumavalavan, explaining how their livelihoods had been affected. Listening to their concerns, he assured them, saying, “I will speak to the Chief Minister and help you.”
Earlier, addressing the media during the wedding of a party functionary in Krishnagiri,  Thirumavalavan accused the BJP of deliberately obstructing the AIADMK’s initiatives to push the party into a corner.
The Lok Sabha MP expressed confidence in the strength of the DMK-led alliance, stating, “Regardless of the number of fronts in the fray, the DMK alliance will secure a decisive victory in the 2026 Assembly elections.”
