The Tamil Nadu BJP state core committee meeting was held in Chennai yesterday. The meeting was attended by Union Minister L. Murugan, BJP national co-in-charge Arvind Menon, state co-in-charge Sudhakar Reddy, Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai, and other senior leaders.During the meeting, discussions were held on launching a signature campaign to take the message of the three-language policy to the people. The party also deliberated on how to respond to the Tamil Nadu government’s actions following the recently held all-party meeting.
Following the meeting, senior BJP leader H. Raja addressed the media. He criticized the DMK government for not revealing the agenda of the all-party meeting in advance. He alleged that the meeting was conducted only to attack the Central government without any clear objectives.
He also pointed out that DMK-run schools already follow the three-language policy, raising questions about the party’s double standards. He accused Chief Minister M.K. Stalin of diverting public attention with misleading statements about constituency delimitation when the three-language issue began gaining public attention.
H. Raja announced that the BJP will launch a signature campaign to gather public support for the three-language policy. He further claimed that the DMK government was using the all-party meeting as a tool to create unnecessary controversies in education.
The Tamil Nadu BJP is expected to intensify its campaign in the coming days, making the three-language policy debate a key political issue in the state.
