In the ongoing investigation of the Ritanya suicide case, the bail petition filed by her mother-in-law, Chithra Devi, has been adjourned. Ritanya, a newlywed from Avinashi Kaikatti Pudur in the Tiruppur district, tragically took her own life, with the cause linked to dowry harassment.Following the incident, Ritanya’s husband, Kavinkumar, father-in-law, Eeswaramoorthy, and mother-in-law, Chithra Devi, were all arrested and subsequently imprisoned. While the bail pleas of Kavinkumar and Eeswaramoorthy were previously rejected, Chithra Devi’s petition came before the Tiruppur District Principal Court today. The presiding judge has adjourned the hearing on her bail application to July 11.
