Ramadoss announces protest on Dec 12

Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder Dr. S. Ramadoss has announced a statewide protest on December 12,, demanding the immediate implementation of a 10.5% separate internal reservation quota for the Vanniyar community in education and government jobs. This demand is proposed as an interim arrangement until the completion of a comprehensive caste-based census in Tamil Nadu. The protest was initially planned for December 5 but has been rescheduled to December 12 to allow better preparation. Ramadoss emphasized the importance of the caste-wise population census to ensure social justice and equitable distribution of welfare benefits. He called upon party leaders and office-bearers at all levels—state, district, union, town, and area—to mobilize cadres and hold demonstrations in front of district collector offices across Tamil Nadu.
