Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has expressed strong confidence that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) will once again form the government in the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
His remarks came during the launch and inauguration of several development projects in the Karaikudi and surrounding areas of Sivagangai district, where he addressed a large gathering of party workers and local residents.
Stalin laid the foundation stones for new educational institutions and public welfare initiatives, including agricultural college facilities and community infrastructure, highlighting achievements his government has delivered over the past term. During the event, he told the audience that the people of Tamil Nadu have seen the results of DMK governance and will therefore vote to keep the party in power again in 2026.
The Chief Minister pointed to the welfare measures implemented under his administration, such as initiatives for women’s employment, student support programmes and improved drinking water schemes, as evidence of the government’s commitment to improving citizens’ lives. Stalin said that these accomplishments have strengthened public trust, which he believes will translate into electoral success.
Stalin also said that if returned to office, the DMK would continue and expand its developmental agendas, with a focus on sustaining economic growth and social welfare in both urban and rural areas across the state.
