Edappadi K. Palaniswami, General Secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), has alleged that confusion prevails within the alliance between the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Indian National Congress ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to reporters, Palaniswami said there is no confusion within the AIADMK-led alliance, asserting that his party and its allies are united and clear about their strategy. He claimed that, on the contrary, reports indicate internal uncertainty and differences between the DMK and Congress over seat-sharing arrangements.
The AIADMK leader, who recently held discussions with senior BJP leaders in New Delhi, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, said talks regarding alliance and seat-sharing are progressing smoothly within the NDA camp. He maintained that formal decisions on seat allocation would be announced at the appropriate time.
Palaniswami further stated that the AIADMK is strengthening its organisational base across the state and is fully prepared to face the elections. He reiterated that the NDA alliance in Tamil Nadu remains strong and coordinated, dismissing speculation about any rift within his front.
His remarks come amid ongoing political discussions in the state regarding alliance dynamics and electoral strategies, with major parties gearing up for a high-stakes contest in the forthcoming Assembly polls.
