Tiruchirappalli, Apr 1:
Chief Minister M. K. Stalin continued his election campaign in Tiruchirappalli by walking through the busy Gandhi Market area, directly interacting with the public and traders. The visit was part of his grassroots outreach ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
During the walk, Stalin moved through crowded streets, greeting shopkeepers, vendors, and local residents. The market, known for its heavy footfall and commercial activity, turned into a lively political spot as people gathered around to see him and express their views.
The Chief Minister also reportedly stopped at local stalls, engaging in casual conversations and even having tea, highlighting a more personal and approachable style of campaigning. Such walkabouts are aimed at strengthening voter connection and understanding ground-level concerns.
The visit comes amid an intense campaign phase in Tamil Nadu, where leaders are increasingly focusing on direct public engagement.
With elections scheduled for April 23, Stalin’s outreach efforts reflect the DMK’s strategy to reinforce its presence among urban and working-class voters.
