Kyiv, Sept 21:
Russia has indicated that it could intensify attacks on Kyiv following a series of drone strikes targeting Moscow and other parts of Russia, as the war between Russia and Ukraine continues.
At least two people were reported killed in Moscow amid the latest drone attacks, while an oil refinery was also reported to have caught fire. The incidents came as Russia conducted parliamentary elections, adding to tensions surrounding the conflict.
Russian authorities have reported interceptions of drones in several areas, while Ukrainian officials have continued to report Russian attacks. Both sides have regularly used drones and long-range missiles against military and infrastructure targets during the conflict.
The latest escalation comes as diplomatic efforts to end the war remain unresolved. The continuing attacks are also raising concerns over the impact on energy infrastructure and civilian areas as both sides maintain their military operations.
