Tiruppur, Oct 1:
Tamil Nadu Minister K A Sengottaiyan on Wednesday said Dharapuram would henceforth be established as the stronghold of the whistle symbol.
Speaking at a TVK meeting in Dharapuram, Sengottaiyan said the people of Tamil Nadu had entrusted the future of the State in the hands of Chief Minister and TVK president C Joseph Vijay.
“Dharapuram will become the fortress of the whistle symbol from now on,” he said, referring to the October 6 bypoll.
Sengottaiyan said people had been demanding the implementation of the Anaimalaiyar-Nallaru project and added that the day would come when an order for a Rs 147-crore drinking water project would be issued.
He also said the verdicts in the Dharapuram and Madurantakam by-elections would be watched across the country and expressed confidence that the victories would be handed over to Vijay.
