The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) has reached a significant milestone in the year 2023-24 by producing its 1,000th Distributed Power System (DPS) coach, setting a new record for the highest number of DPS coaches manufactured in a single production year by the Indian Railways.The achievement underscores ICF’s commitment to innovation and excellence in railway coach manufacturing. The DPS coaches play a crucial role in various train configurations, including Vande Bharat train sets, Electric Multiple Units (EMU), Mainline Electric Multiple Units (MEMU), Self-Propelled Inspection Cars (SPIC), and Self-Propelled Accident Relief Trains (SPART).
