Senior BJP leader and national executive member H. Raja has claimed that certain parties in the DMK-led alliance may soon withdraw due to internal conflicts, especially over seat-sharing issues.Speaking to reporters in Thuvakudi near Tiruchirappalli, H. Raja pointed out that friction has already started to emerge within the DMK alliance. He said that the MDMK, led by Vaiko, had demanded more seats, and due to dissatisfaction, is slowly distancing itself from the DMK camp.
Raja added that more parties, including the Communist parties, might leave the alliance if they are not given adequate representation. āThey will go where they get more seats,ā he said, highlighting the instability within the ruling front in Tamil Nadu.
He also criticized the DMK government for its handling of law and order, alleging that the state has become a hub for drug trafficking. āTamil Nadu has now overtaken Punjab in drug abuse cases. False cases are being filed against innocent youth, especially those opposing the ruling party,ā he alleged.
H. Raja praised the achievements of the BJP-led central government, stating that India has moved from being the 11th largest economy to the 4th in the world since 2014. He also highlighted progress in the defense sector, including the development of indigenous drones and missiles.
Raja concluded by asserting that public trust in the DMK alliance is weakening and that its internal problems will soon lead to visible splits among its partners.
