Vellore, Feb 21: Authorities have granted permission for 4,900 people to participate in the upcoming meeting of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) to be addressed by actor-turned-politician Vijay in Vellore district on February 23.
The event, initially expected to be a large public gathering, has been classified as a party administrators’ meeting. It will be held at a spacious ground near Palli Konda in Vellore district, where preparations are underway.
Police have imposed strict conditions, allowing entry only to authorised functionaries.
Participants must carry QR-coded passes, which will be verified at the entrance. Officials have made it clear that only the approved 4,900 attendees will be permitted inside the venue.
Organisers have also advised the general public not to gather at the venue without valid passes. Special caution has been urged for children, elderly persons, pregnant women and those with health concerns, as the meeting is restricted to designated party members.
