The Tamil Nadu Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, has approved land allotments and tax incentives for 46 major industrial projects across the State, paving the way for large-scale investments and job creation.
The projects include proposals from leading companies such as Bharat Biotech, MinebeaMitsumi (through its NMB operations), and Sakthi Aircraft Industry. These firms had earlier signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the State government, committing total investments of Rs 31,592.39 crore and promising to generate employment for 61,521 people.
Industries Minister T. R. B. Rajaa said the projects will be set up in several districts, including Theni, Perambalur, Thoothukudi, Karur, Salem, Dindigul, Namakkal and Krishnagiri. The approvals span multiple sectors, underscoring the government’s continued thrust on attracting diversified investments and promoting balanced regional development.
With Assembly election dates expected to be announced soon, the government has accelerated the clearance process for industrial proposals to ensure that committed projects move swiftly towards implementation.
The Minister reiterated that the State remains focused on strengthening its manufacturing ecosystem and expanding employment opportunities, positioning Tamil Nadu as a preferred destination for industrial growth.
