Prime Minister Narendra Modj appealed to people not to panic over the reported shortage of cooking gas, stating that the Union government is taking steps to handle the situation arising from the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
Addressing an NDA rally in Trichy district, the Prime Minister said the war in West Asia has affected the global energy and supply chain, leading to concerns over gas availability in several countries, including India.
He assured that the Centre would always place the interests and welfare of Indian citizens first and urged people not to believe rumours. The Prime Minister also asked the public to rely only on verified information and avoid spreading unconfirmed reports.
Referring to the country’s response during the COVID-19 pandemic,  Modi said Indians had shown maturity and unity, expressing confidence that the nation would overcome the current challenge as well.
