Bhagavan is an upcoming large-scale film set against a mythological and historical backdrop, featuring a unique and intriguing storyline. Starring Aari Arujunan in the lead, the film is positioned as a gripping action thriller with mythological elements.
Actress Poojitha Ponnada plays the female lead alongside him. Produced by Ammaniya Movies under the banner of C.V. Manjunatha and directed by Su. Kalingan, the film brings together a strong supporting cast including James Barrett, Santhosh Prathap, Aadukalam Naren, Delhi Ganesh, Jagan, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Yog Japee, Birla Bose, Lucky Narayanan, Alex, Abhishek, Sathya, Master Pandi, Ajay Thatha, Jagadeesh, and G.V. Krishna.
The technical team includes cinematography by Murugan Saravanan, editing by Mahendran Ganesan, music composed by Prasan Bala, and background score by Yuvraj. Kala Master has handled choreography, while art direction is by Balaiya. Stunts are choreographed by Hari Dinesh, costumes by Vinaya Dev.
Speaking about the film, director Su. Kalingan said it explores deep philosophical and mystical questions about the universe and the concept of “Bhagavan.” The story blends mythology with mystery, raising questions about the nature of divinity and hidden forces like the Illuminati. The film also incorporates elements from the Mahabharata and promises several unexpected twists, including a surprising role played by a seemingly ordinary creature—a lizard.
Currently in its final stages of production, “Bhagavan” is expected to offer a fresh cinematic experience with a unique narrative and strong technical execution. The trailer and release date will be announced soon, with the film slated for a theatrical release across Tamil Nadu in May by Seventh Studios, represented by Kannan.
