Chennai, Sept 5:
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and former Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended Teachers’ Day greetings to educators across the State, highlighting their vital role in shaping students and society.
In his message, Vijay paid tribute to teachers for their contribution to education and for guiding students towards a better future. He said the dedication of teachers in nurturing knowledge, discipline and values deserved recognition and appreciation.
Stalin also greeted teachers, describing them as those who shape students into good human beings. He emphasised the important role played by educators not merely in imparting academic knowledge but also in developing character and values among young people.
Teachers’ Day is observed on September 5 to mark the birth anniversary of former President and noted educationist Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The day is celebrated across the country to honour teachers and recognise their contribution to society.
