Minister Regupathy slams EPS

Tamil Nadu Law Minister S. Regupathy on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Leader of Opposition (LoP) Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), accusing him of avoiding criticism of the BJP-led Central Government while addressing the tungsten mining project protests. The minister labeled EPS as a “coward” for failing to mention the BJP’s involvement and alleged that he fabricated claims about police interference in the farmers’ protest.

The DMK staged widespread protests across Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, with Deputy General Secretary Kanimozhi accusing the BJP-led Central Government of installing Governor RN Ravi to create hurdles for the state government and insult Tamils. Addressing a gathering of party members, Kanimozhi, also the MP for Thoothukudi, criticized the Governor for politicizing his role and urged him to step aside if unwilling to fulfill his constitutional duties.
