BJP State President K Annamalai launched a scathing attack on the DMK, accusing the ruling party of blaming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s frequent visits to Tamil Nadu out of fear of defeat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing reporters in Tirupur, Annamalai criticized Chief Minister MK Stalin for allegedly venturing out of his residence only for foreign trips to destinations like Dubai, Spain, and Singapore, while remaining silent on the matter. He highlighted that despite the Prime Minister’s numerous visits to Tamil Nadu even outside of election seasons, the DMK has chosen to target Modi’s presence in the state, suggesting that the party is apprehensive about its electoral prospects.
Annamalai further emphasized the Prime Minister’s humble background, noting that Modi started his career by selling tea, contrasting this with his perception of the INDIA bloc, an apparent reference to the opposition alliance, as individuals who are “selling the country.” He suggested that the public is aware of these dynamics and will make their judgments accordingly.
