Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was deeply moved and brought to tears after watching the newly released film Amaran, starring actor Sivakarthikeyan. Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy and produced by Kamal Haasan, the film centers on the life of the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, an army officer who sacrificed his life in the line of duty.
Amaran, which was released to the public yesterday, features Sivakarthikeyan portraying Major Mukund Varadarajan, while actress Sai Pallavi plays the role of his wife, Indhu Rebecca. The story pays tribute to the life, bravery, and sacrifices of the decorated army hero, drawing on real-life events and heartfelt experiences.
Chief Minister Stalin attended a special screening of the film held just for him the day before its release. Touched by the film’s powerful narrative and moving performances, Stalin was visibly emotional, expressing, “It was very touching; my eyes were filled with tears.” He commended the entire cast and crew for their exceptional work and conveyed his admiration to the team.
Stalin also personally contacted Kamal Haasan, the film’s producer, to express his appreciation. During the phone call, Stalin praised the film, saying, “The film is truly outstanding and has left a lasting impression. Congratulations and heartfelt commendations.”
This acknowledgment from the Chief Minister has added further significance to Amaran, highlighting the film’s impactful storytelling and its tribute to one of India’s real-life heroes.
