Arjun Sampath, State President of the Hindu Makkal Katchi, has announced a one-day symbolic hunger strike on January 5 at the Palanganatham Roundabout in Madurai. Meanwhile, it provided security and support for the funeral procession of Coimbatore bomb blast convict Basha, but denied permission for protests against terrorism, instead arresting the protesters, he stated.

Such actions highlight the government’s anti-Hindu and anti-national agenda. In the central government’s Vishwakarma scheme, over 8 lakh people had registered, but the Tamil Nadu government’s refusal to cooperate deprived them of the benefits, hindering their livelihoods. Instead, the government renamed and restructured the scheme as the Kalaignar Artisans Scheme, claiming it was caste-based, he said

While they declare their opposition to Sanatana Dharma, they also claim to have no hostility toward H
