The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (ADMK) has announced a massive protest against the DMK government led by M.K. Stalin, condemning the growing law and order crisis in Tamil Nadu.

The protest is scheduled for November 14 at 10 a.m. near the Gandhi statue in Tindivanam.

In a statement released by ADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the party highlighted alarming increases in sexual violence against women and children since the DMK assumed office.

The government, described as a “neglectful regime,” is accused of failing to protect women from sexual crimes, which have become a continuous concern under Stalin’s leadership. The statement further accuses the DMK government of being unable to tackle the surge in drug trafficking and consumption among youth, escalating criminal activities, and widespread lawlessness.

The ADMK claims that offenders operate without fear of law enforcement, pointing to a deteriorating situation where the administration appears ineffective and indifferent.

Price hikes in essential commodities are also condemned, with citizens struggling to meet basic living costs amid soaring inflation. The law and order situation has allegedly deteriorated to an alarming level, leading to public distress and erosion of safety.

As a trigger for the protest, ADMK cited recent incidents such as a gang sexual assault on a college student in Coimbatore and molestation of a schoolgirl by a police officer near Tindivanam. Such incidents are described as staining Tamil Nadu’s history under the current DMK government.

The protest call urges widespread participation, especially from women and the general public, to voice their anger and demand accountability from the state administration.

The ADMK leadership and many district-level officials, former ministers, members of local bodies, and cooperative institutions are expected to join the massive demonstration.
