Senior BJP leaders have strongly rejected allegations that the party is part of an “anti-Tamil alliance,” terming the charge a baseless political narrative crafted by rivals who fear losing public support. BJP leaders said the accusation reflects the opposition’s inability to counter the party on governance, development and national integration.“The BJP is the only national party that has consistently respected Tamil language, culture and heritage,” a senior leader said, pointing to initiatives such as the celebration of Thiruvalluvar, promotion of Tamil in national forums, and investments in infrastructure and welfare schemes in Tamil Nadu.
The party asserted that branding political alliances as ‘anti-Tamil’ is an attempt to mislead voters and divert attention from governance failures.
BJP leaders further stated that alliances are formed to offer a strong, stable alternative government, not to undermine regional identity. “Tamil Nadu’s progress, pride and prosperity are central to our vision. The people of the state will see through this politics of fear and falsehood,” the party said, adding that the BJP remains committed to inclusive development while safeguarding Tamil culture and interests.
