The sudden demise of Ajit Pawar in a plane crash has sent shockwaves across Maharashtra and the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the recently concluded India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA), along with previous trade pacts signed by India, will open “countless opportunities” for millions of young people across the country. 

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday called for a Supreme Court-monitored probe into the death of NCP leader Ajit Pawar in a plane crash, alleging that “all other agencies” have been “completely compromised”, with several opposition leaders including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge backing her demand.

 A minor fire incident occurred on Tuesday at Chennai International Airport, prompting an immediate emergency response but causing no damage or disruption to flight operations, officials said.
